Basic situation of Japan's printing industry

Japan's printing industry includes printing industry, plate making industry, book making industry, printing processing industry and printing service industry. Among them, the output value of printing industry accounts for nearly 3/4 of the printing industry. At present, the total output value of Japan's manufacturing industry is about 271 trillion yen, of which the printing industry is about 8 trillion yen, accounting for 2.8% of the manufacturing industry, ranking 14th among the 24 industries in the manufacturing industry. The total scale of enterprises is larger than that of fiber industry, electrical machinery manufacturing, plastic products manufacturing, etc; There are about 402000 employees, ranking eighth. The composition of Japanese printing enterprises is dominated by small and medium-sized enterprises (enterprises with less than 300 employees, of which those with less than 20 employees are called small enterprises).
